    To access Surf REC services, it is necessary to create an account via the app. It's important to highlight that once your account is set up, you can log in directly at the beach without needing your phone. However, it's crucial to remember your login credentials to seamlessly access your account.
  • Do I have any commitment with Surf REC?
    Surf REC does not require any type of regular payment, nor does it impose any training programs or filming minimums. The user pays for what they use and use when and how much they want to use.
  • If I booked a camera but need to cancel it, do I have to pay anyway?
  • When can I use these services?
    Every day, during the period of sunlight. Surf REC reserves some unavailability of cameras that may occasionally lack maintenance.
  • What is Surf REC?
    Surf REC is a free download app that will elevate your surfing experience. You can film your surfing through robotic cameras, strategically set up in prime surf spots, guided by a device that you wear on your wrist and into the water. You will also access the 1st global online coaching platform, which brings together professional coaches from all over the world available to help any surfer, anywhere in the world, just a click away.
  • Who can use Surf REC?
    Anyone can use the services for their intended purposes. ATTENTION: The user has to accept our terms & conditions during the registration process (sign in) to fully enjoy our services.
  • How do I register with Surf REC?
    Easy. Just head to the app. Follow the simple steps, and you'll be riding with Surf REC in no time!
  • How long does account activation take?
    Getting your account up and running is as fast as a lightning-fast barrel! Typically, it's immediate, but hang loose for a few minutes just in case. Before you know it, you'll be ready to dive into Surf REC!
  • What payment methods are available?
    During this prototype phase, we're keeping it real and making payments happen outside the app, specifically through MBWAY or bank transfer. But here's the exciting scoop: In the next development wave, you'll have a sweet array of options, including Credit Card, Paypal, and, of course, MBWAY.
  • Do I have to enter bank details?
    Not at this stage. In the next phase, it will be necessary to fill in the payment details just to access the services, with the option of associating an MBway account or similar secure payment method.
  • How can I cancel the account?
    To deactivate your account, follow these steps with ease: Within the app, navigate to my profile "Account," select the "delete account" option, confirm the action, and you're all set! ATTENTION: Be aware that you cannot recover your account and all the information attached to it if you decide to delete it.
  • How does filming work?
    Download the app and register. Check the available Surf REC spots on our social media. Each Surf REC station features 4 robotic cameras, available on demand, which operate autonomously for filming. They are guided by a wrist-worn bracelet-tracker. At the designated beach, approach the kiosk, log in, and select your session preferences. Grab the bracelet-device, strap it onto your wrist, and hit the waves at your own pace. To conclude your session, return the tracking device to the dock and click "end session" at the kiosk. Once the device is successfully returned, the end time will be logged, and charges will be automatically calculated. Head back to the app to instantly download your surf session videos.
  • What are the filming options?
    At the moment, only SOLO mode (1 camera for 1 person) in HD resolution is available. Soon it will be available the DUAL mode (1 camera for 2 people) ideal for sharing with a friend or stranger, with a 20% reduction in the rate for each user. More options are planned for the future, such as: 4K resolution; and 2 types of image framing.
  • How much does it cost?
    Pay per minute rate0.18€/min = 10.80€/h.
  • Can I book a session in advance?
    At this stage of development, sessions are confirmed in person. In the future there will never be a need for scheduling. Get your wetsuit on, leave your smartphone in the car and head to the login kiosk, pick up the tracker bracelet and just go surf.

    Every day, basking in the sunlight hours, Surf REC sets aside a bit of camera downtime. This allows for occasional maintenance, ensuring our equipment stays in top-notch shape for your next surf adventure.
  • Can I use the cameras to film myself skating?
    Sorry buddy! The cameras installed on the beaches must respect the principles of data protection, so the use of cameras is exclusive to film people practicing wave sports.
  • If something unforeseen happens like fog or another natural phenomenon during my session, will Surf REC refund me?
    Surf REC assumes no responsibility for natural phenomena that may occur during a session.
  • If I don't manage to catch any waves during my session, does Surf REC refund me?
    Surf REC does not provide any refund in case the user does not surf any wave.
